AMES, IOWA (January 14, 2022) — Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate partnered with the Iowa State University Center for Cybersecurity Outreach and Innovation to conduct a day-long seminar for students interested in cybersecurity and information technology. The goal is to prepare college students to be successful in defending our nation’s cyber infrastructure and cyber-resources.

DES MOINES, IOWA (January 13, 2022) — Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller announced today that Navient, known as one of the nation’s largest student-loan servicers, will provide relief totaling $1.7 billion to resolve allegations of widespread unfair and deceptive student loan servicing practices and abuses in originating predatory student loans.
