WAVERLY, IOWA (May 7, 2021) — Rachel Green, of DeWitt, Iowa, was one of 17 Wartburg College students honored by the Iowa Broadcast News Association at its annual conference.

Green earned third place in In-Depth/Series for Student TV for "Student Elections."

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (May 7, 2021) — Child Abuse Council/AOK Network, The Moline Foundation, Moline Public Library, River Bend Foodbank, and University of Illinois Extension are joining forces to offer a virtual simulation about living in poverty called $1,000 to Spend on May 18, 2021, 1:30-3PM. A follow-up workshop on SocioEconomic Differences will be on June 8, 2021, 1:30-3PM. Attendance at simulation is not required for workshop or vice versa.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 7, 2021) — Progressive Action for the Common Good announces that the third annual Earth Day Fair will be held at the Freight House Farmers Market on Saturday, May 22, 9AM- 2PM. Although Earth Day was April 22, the Fair was postponed due to the possibility of flooding. The Fair is co-sponsored by the Freight House Farmers Market and WVIK.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 6, 2021) — Augustana reignites the annual Summer Academy program geared towards introducing high-school students to college- level courses.

Augustana's Summer Academy will run from July 12-August 13, 2021, for rising high school juniors and seniors. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive one college credit.
