DES MOINES, IOWA (July 8, 2020) This July marks the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and State Treasurer Michael Fitzgerald, administrator of Iowa's ABLE plan, IAble, is recognizing this as an opportunity to celebrate. BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA (July 8, 2020) — The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi today announced its 2020 Literacy Grant recipients. The grants of up to $2,500 were awarded to 12 Phi Kappa Phi members across the nation.

TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA (July 8, 2020) A total of 16,470 students enrolled during the 2020 spring semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's).

DES MOINES, IOWA (July 8, 2020) A new Test Iowa clinic site is scheduled to open in Kossuth County on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

The new clinic site will be located at the former Ernie Williams Harley Shop at 2701 US-Hwy 18 in Algona. Hours of operation this week are: Wednesday. July 8, 8AM-4:30PM; Thursday, July 9, 1-4PM; and Friday, July 10, 8:30-10:30AM.

DES MOINES, IOWA (July 7, 2020)  Governor Kim Reynolds announced that $50,000,000 in federal funds allocated through the CARES Act will be invested in Iowa’s mental health-care system.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (July 7, 2020) — The Quad Cities Community Foundation has awarded nearly $110,000 to 10 Quad Cities non-profits to strengthen their ability to do their work. The Community Foundation’s Nonprofit Capacity Building Grants provide funding to local organizations for staff-training, board-development, strategic-planning, technology, and more to help them carry out their missions.
