DES MOINES, IOWA (June 30, 2020)  Governor Kim Reynolds appointed Kelly Garcia to serve as interim director of the Iowa Department of Public Health. She will continue to serve as director of the Department of Human Services (DHS).

DES MOINES, IOWA (June 30, 2020)  Governor Kim Reynolds signed Senate File 2403, legislation that will lower the cost of E-15 and higher blends of renewable fuels in Iowa by changing how the state taxes higher-blend biofuels. The governor signed the bill during her weekly press conference at Pine Lake Corn Processors in Steamboat Rock.

DES MOINES, IOWA (June 30, 2020) The Iowa Business Council (IBC) released its second-quarter Economic Outlook Survey for 2020. The survey's overall economic-outlook index rose to 41.25, increasing 3.75 points from Q1 of 2020 when IBC members' outlook hit its lowest point since 2009. Measuring below 50, this figure continues to demonstrate negative sentiment.

PENSACOLA, FLORIDA (June 30, 2020)  Kaylee Millard of East Moline, Illinois, was named to the Dean's List by Dr Troy Shoemaker, president of Pensacola Christian College, for academic achievement during the 2020 spring semester. This was a result of earning a semester grade point average of 3.00 or higher.

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA (06/29/2020) Nearly 7,500 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students have been named to the Deans' List for the spring semester of the 2019-20 academic year.
