WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (August 24, 2026) — A student in Des Moines University (DMU) Medicine and Health Sciences' Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program has been awarded a $10,000 Caring Hearts Scholarship from the CVS Health Foundation.

Bryn Miller was selected for her academic achievements, service activities and dedication to providing care to others.

"Being recognized with such a meaningful scholarship is truly an honor," Miller says.

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 24, 2026) — Attorney General Brenna Bird has announced she joined a coalition of sixteen state attorneys general raising concerns over potentially illegal financial reporting requirements by the “Big 4” accounting firms: Deloitte; Ernst and Young; KPMG; and PricewaterhouseCoopers. In a letter to the Big 4, the coalition questions their stated commitments for climate-related disclosures in financial reporting, contrary to their professional duties of integrity and obje
