The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) Announces Suspension of 2019-2020 Season

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 12, 2020) — Per the SPHL:

“For the safety of our fans, players, team personnel and arena staff, the Southern Professional Hockey League today announced that due to concerns over the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, it has suspended the 2019-2020 season effective immediately. The SPHL and its member teams will continue to monitor developments over the weekend and provide an update on the 2019-2020 season in the near future.”

State of Iowa Provides COVID-19 Update

DES MOINES, IOWA (March 12, 2020) — Testing at Iowa’s State Hygienic Laboratory has indicated two additional positive cases of 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Iowa residents, a total of 16 positive cases. An additional 16 tests were negative.

EPA to Review Lead Ambient Air Standards

Initiating the lead review is part of this Administration’s commitment to comply with the standards and deadlines mandated in the Clean Air Act by completing the five year air quality standards for each criteria pollutant.
