MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (January 13, 2020) — A group of Monmouth College students received a lesson in the American Dream while working on a project about the region's efforts to recover from an economic catastrophe.

Dr Bandy Lee, a psychiatrist affiliated with Yale University, posits a "'shared psychosis' among just about all of Donald Trump's followers." Her claim came in the context of a discussion of Alan Dershowitz's use of the word "perfect" to describe his sex life, mirroring Trump's use of that word regarding a well-known phone call with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky.

DES MOINES — Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller has appointed Jennifer Easler as consumer advocate for regulated utility issues.  

Easler replaces Mark Schuling, who retired January 10. Schuling had served as consumer advocate since January 2011.  

DES MOINES, IOWA (January 13, 2020) — Governor Kim Reynolds encourages employers, recruiters, and human-resource managers to attend the Employer and Reentry Roundtable on January 29 at the Anamosa State Penitentiary. Iowa Department of Corrections and Iowa Workforce Development will co-host the roundtable to highlight opportunities available with hiring returning citizens. The event starts at 12:30PM.
