Senators Propose Bills to Clamp Down on World Bank Lending to China

WASHINGTON DC (December 11, 2019) — Following reports of a questionable $50 million World Bank loan to a Chinese organization associated with the forcible internment of Chinese Uighur Muslims, Senators Charles "Chuck" Grassley (R-IA), Marco Rubio (R-FL), and Tom Cotton (R-AR), are introducing legislation to prevent such loans in the future.

During her tenure, WQPT moved offices, restructured master control and programming, and continued with a focus on the creation of local television-programming, to be aired along with PBS programming.
