IOWA FALLS, IOWA (March 23, 2020) — Diamond Vogel and Keep Iowa Beautiful announced the grant awards for the 2020 Paint Iowa Beautiful program. The program provides free paint to a wide variety of public service projects throughout Iowa.
WASHINGTON DC (March 22, 2020) — Policymakers are currently drafting legislation to mitigate the economic damage caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. An effective response should be enacted quickly and will likely widen budget deficits dramatically. The must-pass nature of this agreement should not be used as an excuse for politicians to incorporate tax or spending provisions that are unrelated to the virus response.

The world's politicians are innovating on the fly (pun intended) by trying to combine the fall — the COVID-19 epidemic — with the sudden stop, bringing life and commerce to a halt through draconian travel restrictions, business closures, etc.

LENEXA, KANSAS (March 20, 2020) — US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Andrew Wheeler hosted a series of conference calls with large and small disinfectant manufacturers, including members of the Consumer Brands Association (CBA) and the Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA). On the calls they discussed the agency’s expanded and expedited work in response to the outbreak under the Emerging Viral Pathogens Guidance for Antimicrobial Pesticides.

DES MOINES, IOWA (March 20, 2020) — The Iowa Restaurant Association has been working with the Iowa Economic Development Authority and the Iowa Department of Revenue. Because of pressing deadlines, they have given us permission to share the following information with members of Iowa’s hospitality industry. 

They are creating a financial relief grant program for hospitality operators. The plan is to have the application online on Monday.
