Returning to the area for its incredible 104th year, an eagerly awaited six-day festival boasting games, competitions, vendors, and concert sets by more than two dozen national and local acts returns with the 2024 Mississippi Valley Fair, its July 30 through August 4 engagement at Davenport's Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds boasting, as always, grandstand performances by chart-toppers, multi-platinum sellers, and multiple-award winners.

On July 30, the Mississippi Valley Fair's grandstand stage welcomes country -music superstar Thomas Rhett, who has received four Grammy Award nominations with two recordings nominated for Best Country Album, The singer/songwriter's six albums in total have produced 21 singles on the Billboard Hot Country and Country Airplay charts, with 18 of them reaching the number-one position on the latter, among them "It Goes Like This," "Get Me Some of That," "Make Me Wanna," and "Crash and Burn." July 31 brings with it grandstand performances by Koe Wetzel and Priscilla Block, the former an acclaimed country rocker whose top-10 Billboard hits include this year's "Sweet Dreams" and "High Road" (featuring Jessie Murph), and the latter of whose country-pop song "Just About Over You" went viral on TikTok, reaching Nashville music executives who signed her to Mercury Nashville.

The August 1 grandstand headliner, rap and R&B artist T-Pain, boasts two songs that peaked Billboard charts in "Kiss Kiss" by Chris Brown and "Low" by Flo Rida, the latter of which was named third in the Billboard Hot 100 Songs of the Decade and received diamond (10× platinum) certification by the RIAA. Additionally, T-Pain's "Good Life" and "Blame It" both won Grammy Awards for Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Performance, respectively, from the artist's total of 12 nominations for the award. August 2, meanwhile, features a grandstand performance by music icon Bret Michaels. The frontman of rock band Poison who has sold over 65 million albums worldwide and 30 million records in the United States alone, Michaels has seen his outfit chart 10 singles on the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, including six top-10 singles and a number-one smash in "Every Rose Has Its Thorn."

No less a musical legend than Alice Cooper serves as the 2024 Mississippi Valley Fair's August 3 headliner. The signature rocker's discography includes 29 studio albums (plus two studio albums with Hollywood Vampires), 50 singles, 11 live albums, 21 compilation albums, 12 video releases, and an audiobook, and six of Cooper's studio albums have achieved platinum in the United States, with three more achieving gold. And this year's Mississippi Valley Fair grandstand acts wrap up with an August 4 set by country/singer Scotty McCreery, who released his first single "I Love You This Big" after winning the tenth season of American Idol in 2011. Since then, McCreery has enjoyed chart-topping albums in Clear as Day, See You Tonight, and Seasons Change, as well as chart-topping singles in "This Is It," "You Time," and "Damn Strait."

With the fair's July 30 through August 4 events including animal shows, arts-and-crafts activities, games, parades, displays, and much more, in excess of three dozen additional area bands and performers will entertain crowds at the fairgrounds' Pavilion, Farmer's Tent, Oldies Tent, Variety Tent, and Craft Beer Tent stages, plus this year's MH Entertainment Acoustic Corner.
