Founded by Chicago-based comic Orly KG in 2022, and utilizing a mighty showcase of hilarious comics from its growing roster of more than 80 standup who are also mothers, the Bad Momz of Comedy tour comes to Iowa and Illinois, this collection of gifted funnywomen performing at Davenport's Rhythm City Casino Resort Rhythm Room on July 10 and Galesburg's Orpheum Theatre on July 11.
With the show having previously packed venues including Zanies in Nashville and Chicago, as well as the St. Louis City Winery, Chicago's Theater on the Lake, and more, Bad Momz of Comedy has been featured in the Chicago Tribune; on WLS Radio, WGN-CBS, and NBC Chicago News; and nationally on NBC's The Kelly Clarkson Show. Show creator Orly K.G. continues to hustle her way into the comedy scene with her antics about marriage, shame-eating, and her decaying body. She has appeared at Chicago's Second City, Zanies Chicago, Rosemont, and Nashville, Laugh Factory, Comedy Bar, Red Room Comedy, The Lincoln Lodge, Annoyance Theater, private events, and more. This Jewish mom is funny - but please do not call her Mrs. Maisel.
Lindsay Porter is a standup comedian, storyteller, and teaching artist in Chicago. She has performed at legendary clubs such as Zanies and the Laugh Factory, as well as bars, parks, parking lots, nursing homes, and in line at Trader Joe's. Additionally, Porter has brought her comedy stylings all over the Midwest and on the road in Nashville and North Carolina.
Leslie Mitchell lives in Iowa and performs throughout the Midwest. She has worked with comics including Dave Attell, Roy Wood Jr., Bobcat Goldthwait, Adrienne Iapalucci, Geoffrey Asmus, Mary Mack, and April Macie. Mitchell is the winner of Lucky Cat Comedy's "Funniest Person in Iowa" and took home first place at the 21st Annual Amateur Stand Up Comedian Competition held at the legendary Jukebox Comedy Club in Peoria. She has also performed in the Floodwater Comedy Festival, Des Comedie Festival, Last Best Comedy Festival, Hell Yes Fest, Tower City Comedy Festival, Badgerland Comedy Festival, and North Carolina Comedy Festival.
Mo Good is hot off taping her hour-long special at Zanies Chicago. This mother of two from the south side of Chicago headlines comedy clubs all over the country, among them the Laugh Factory, Riddles, Zanies, The Comedy Bar, and The House of Blues. Best known for her hilarious storytelling on and off stage, Good hosts events and produces local showcases, and all while working in Healthcare. She never runs out of relatable material.
