Bettendorf — On Saturday, March 5, from 6:30 – 10:00 pm, the Family Museum will host “The Kids’ Table: A Grown-Up Helping,” an exclusive, one-night fundraising event for grown-ups featuring gourmet twists on classic kid food composed and prepared by local chefs and businesses. This event will offer guests a chance to take a trip down memory lane through food, games, and entertainment. The purpose of the event is to raise money for the Family Museum Foundation and to remind guests of a time when play was a priority and that sitting at The Kids’ Table wasn’t so bad after all. Tickets are $50 each and will go on sale at the Museum or online at www.familymuseum.com/table on Monday, February 8. Guests must be 21 or older to enter.
Food and drinks will be provided by the following: Barrel House, Bettendorf Hy-Vee Chef Nicolette Petty, Blaum Bros. Distilling Co., Chocolate Manor, Chestnut Street Inn, Cookies by Design, Culver’s of Bettendorf, Dunn Brothers Coffee, Granite City, Great River Brewery, Mississippi River Distilling Company, Oh So Sweet by Tiphanie, Orange Leaf, Popcorn Charlie and Company, The Shameless Chocoholic, and Thunder Bay Grille. Sponsors include Great Southern Bank and Teitle Law Offices. Additional businesses interested in being a part of this event are encouraged to call Amy at (563) 344-4168.
Entertainment for the evening includes games such as a 10 foot long wall-mounted Lite Brite board, a life-size Operation table, a four foot tall Connect Four game, and a prize-filled duck pond. There will be live music by 10 of Soul and silent auction items. Awards will be given for the best dish, drink, or dessert of the night, and one community member will be honored for their work with both the Family Museum and the Quad City Area.
