BETTENDORF, IOWA (June 9, 2020) — After raising more than $500,000 through grants, corporate donors, private donors, and public sources; the Family Museum is ready to open the Luckey Climber presented by Genesis Birth Center to the public.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (May 21, 2020) — Beginning Friday, May 22, 2020, the Family Museum will once again open its doors to the public. New guidelines have been implemented to help ensure the health and safety of Museum staff and guests.

Family Museum Reopening Guidelines:

BETTENDORF, IOWA (October 8, 2019) — Family Museum has earned the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) designation, which is granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) and demonstrates Family Museum’s dedication to providing a supportive environment for guests with autism and other sensory disorders.

 

BETTENDORF, IOWA (September 26, 2019) — Monsters are invading the Family Museum! Enjoy favorite activities like pumpkin-painting, glow-room activities, PLUS new activities: Mini Monster Mittens, FrankenScience, a monster zoo, Monsters Inc-inspired performances by the Family Museum Dance Company, and much more! Sunday, October 20, 2019, 12– 5PM. $9 for general admission; Family Museum members are free.

First Floor Activities:

BETTENDORF, IOWA (April 16, 2019) — On Saturday, April 27, 6:30–10PM, the Family Museum will host “Night at the Museum,” an exclusive, one-night fundraising event for adults featuring food and drinks, composed and prepared by local chefs and businesses. Guests will embark on a scavenger hunt to explore everything that the Museum has to offer.

Colorful India Day with the Kalanjali Dance Academy Monday, March 12 Performances at 10:30 am and 1:00 pm Activities 11:15 am – 1:00 pm

Bettendorf — The grownups get to have their New Year’s Eve fun at night, so the Family Museum offers kids a chance to celebrate the arrival of 2018 during the daylight hours with “Noon Year’s Eve”, a countdown to 12:00 noon! This event will be on Sunday, December 31, from 9:00 AM through 12:00 PM with a countdown at 12:00 noon. The Museum will close at 2:00 PM.

Bettendorf — The Family Museum will host an Eclipse Viewing Party on Monday, August 21. Activities will be held from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm with eclipse viewing from 1:00 – 1:30 pm, weather permitting. Visitors will make a special piece of art with rays from the sun, do an orbit dance, attempt to make their own eclipse, meet an astronomer, and take a look at the sun with a solar telescope.
