Launch Party with Roller Derby Girls Skating the Store This Friday, 5-7PM, New Pi Coralville

Iowa City, Oct. 4, 2016 – Attention, beer lovers! New Pi releases their 5th (and final for the season) private label beer at all New Pi stores this Friday, Oct. 7! **POWER JAM ** is a strawberry-rhubarb barrel-aged sour beer made by the beer wizards at Madhouse Brewery in Des Moines and features locally-grown organic strawberries from Grinnell Heritage Farm. This special beer comes in a shareable 750 ml (wine bottle) size and is only available at New Pioneer Co-op stores.

Quantities are extremely limited; each New Pi store will only get 5 cases of **Power Jam**. Celebrate this special occasion at the official **POWER JAM** Release Party at New Pi Coralville, 1101 2nd St., Coralville, this Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 from 5-7PM!

The launch party will have a roller derby theme, in honor of the brew’s name—Power Jam (a roller derby term for a time when a team is at a huge advantage for scoring points). Meet athletes from Iowa City’s Old Capitol City Roller Girls and the Cedar Rapids Rollergirls as they skate around the Coralville Co-op and the Madhouse brewer offers samples of this super-local **POWER JAM** sour beer. Everyone is invited to join in the celebration!

Tickets for upcoming local roller derby bouts are available for purchase at New Pi stores (tickets for Cedar Rapids bouts are available at New Pi Cedar Rapids, and tickets for Old Capitol City bouts are available at New Pi Iowa City & Coralville).
