Raise Awareness of Child Abuse in the Quad Cities

Skip-a-Long Child Development Services is teaming up with the Child Abuse Council to plant pinwheel gardens to raise awareness and promote joyful, healthy childhoods around the Quad Cities.

The garden dedications and planting are part of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time when communities nationwide recognize the role everyone plays in preventing child abuse. The blue pinwheel is a symbol of the healthy, happy, and full childhoods all children deserve.

Throughout the region, child abuse agencies and their local partners will be hosting pinwheel gardens which will remain on display through the month of April. These gardens show the community that children are our future and that we support child abuse prevention.
