On Thursday, March 17, 2016 at approximately 12:55 PM, a 911 call was received reference a body observed floating in the Mississippi River near Buffalo, IA. Responding units included the Buffalo Fire Department, Buffalo Police Department, Scott County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division, Scott County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division, and Medic Ambulance. The body was recovered from the river in Buffalo. The body was that of an adult white male. The investigation is on-going, in an attempt to positively identify the body and the circumstances of the death. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. Nothing further at this time.
