Brahms Trio Op. 40 - considered one of the best pieces of chamber music ever written - inspired other trios for horn, violin and piano.  This event will feature QCSO Concertmaster and Signature Series Artistic Director, Naha Greenholtz, QCSO Principal Horn, Marc Zyla, and St. Ambrose University professor Marian Lee on piano in three beloved trio works.

Virtuoso violinist Livia Sohn shines in Barber's quintessentially American and lyrical concerto - the music will embrace you!  Then the QCSO dances the night away to Beethoven's Symphony #7.  This is Beethoven at his best...high energy and delightful.  The night opens with Grieg's Holberg Suite featuring only the string section.  It's a gorgeous yet sweet opening to MWIV.
