Davenport, IA – As 10,000 baby boomers turn age 65 every day, our nation’s demographics are changing. This expanding group of Americans is redefining the senior experience with unique perspectives on aging and the role local communities and governments can play in helping them get the most out of their future years. So, it would come as no surprise that this group of citizens has a lot to say about the 2016 Presidential Election.

The Center for Active Seniors, Inc. (CASI) is joining forces with the Leadership Council of Aging Organizations, a coalition of national non-profit organizations concerned with the well-being of America’s older population. CASI will host a viewing party for the forum Seniors Decide 2016 Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 11:30 a.m.

Seniors Decide is a one-of-a-kind, live forum where both Republican and Democratic presidential candidates will address the policies and programs that directly relate to issues regarding our nation’s aging population.

The public is also invited to submit questions for the candidates to answer on-air. “Seniors will play a decisive role in determining who America’s next president will be,” says Laura Kopp, CASI President/CEO. “Being given the opportunity to participate in an event that specifically focuses on older American issues such as retirement, Social Security, Medicare funding and long-term care and health care costs is a way for our nation’s largest growing demographic to voice their opinion and hopefully guide our next president of the United States into a direction that will not only benefit the baby boomers, but the generations to come.

To RSVP for the Viewing Party, submit a question to the forum, or need more information, call 563.386.7477.
