Rock Island, IL - The Rock Island Arsenal Welcome Club has awarded a $500 grant to help Christian Care publicize information about those veterans who reside at Christian Care's rescue mission, the various benefits Christian Care provides them, and news and events that pertain to veterans.
"Christian Care is grateful to the Rock Island Arsenal Welcome Club for supporting those veterans we serve on a daily basis," said Dr. Elaine Winter, Christian Care's executive director. "On any given day, up to 35% of the men residing at our rescue mission are veterans. This grant will help us disseminate information about these exceptional individuals who deserve our attention, and help those veterans in need."
