This year’s program runs June 4th through July 30th, and the theme is “On Your Mark, Get Set, Read!” Sign up for the Summer Reading Program at any of the three Davenport Public Library locations starting on Saturday, June 4th for a chance to win fabulous prizes!  Participants who read this summer will receive a sport bottle and a free book of their choice.  Kids who participate will also receive a toy prize.  Everyone who finishes the program will have their name entered in a drawing for a chance to win one of this year’s grand prizes:  a kid’s bicycle (donated by Jerry & Sparky’s), a Fitbit, a local sports prize basket, or a $50 Amazon gift card.

Help Keep the Reader Alive and Free Since '93!

"We're the River Cities' Reader, and we've kept the Quad Cities' only independently owned newspaper alive and free since 1993.

So please help the Reader keep going with your one-time, monthly, or annual support. With your financial support the Reader can continue providing uncensored, non-scripted, and independent journalism alongside the Quad Cities' area's most comprehensive cultural coverage." - Todd McGreevy, Publisher
