LeClaire, Iowa. Join us for a chili dog buffet fundraiser on October 10, 2016 at the Riverview Roadhouse, 701 N. Cody Road, LeClaire, IA from 6-8pm. A suggested donation of $6 gets you chili (spicy, regular and white chicken) and chili dogs.
Sgt Leevon Ritter, local soldier and Pleasant Valley High school graduate, who died on May 22, 2012 will be one of only 60 organ donors honored on the Donate Life Rose Parade Float in the 2017 Tournament of Roses Parade. Southwest Transplant Alliance has requested the presence of his mother, Barb Ritter, and sisters during the event week leading up to the parade. Please help us honor his sacrifice and raise awareness of the need for organ donors across the country.
Sgt Ritter’s family will be traveling to Pasadena December 28, 2016 to January 3, 2017 for this incredible opportunity to meet with other donor families, recipients, and living donors. Funds raised will help with airfare, hotel, and general event expenses. Any additional monies raised will go to help other donor families who have also been selected to honor their loved ones.
Other fundraisers being planned are a Trivia Night on Saturday, October 22, 2016 (location to be determined) and a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the LeClaire Fire Station, 201 N. 15th Street.
