During the Paws to Read Summer Reading Program (June 2 through July 26), the Moline Public Library will host a donation drive to help QC Paws and local animals in need.  QC Paws, a non-profit, all volunteer organization, works to increase pet adoptions, reduce the stray population, and provide the best care for animals at the Rock Island County Animal Care and Control Shelter.  The library is seeking donated items to help QC Paws with their efforts.

Items needed during the summer months include :

·         bleach

·         paper towels

·         cat toys and dog toys (Kong)

·         dog and cat beds

·         kitten chow

·         kitten nursing bottles

·         kitten milk replacement (KMR)

·         towels and blankets (clean, new or gently used; including baby blankets)

Donations may be dropped off at the library, 3210 41st Street.

The library is unable to accept financial gifts on behalf of QC Paws.   Monetary contributions can be made through their web site, qcpaws.org, or by mail at QC Paws, 4001 78th Avenue, Moline IL 61265.

Help Keep the Reader Alive and Free Since '93!

"We're the River Cities' Reader, and we've kept the Quad Cities' only independently owned newspaper alive and free since 1993.

So please help the Reader keep going with your one-time, monthly, or annual support. With your financial support the Reader can continue providing uncensored, non-scripted, and independent journalism alongside the Quad Cities' area's most comprehensive cultural coverage." - Todd McGreevy, Publisher
