Davenport, Iowa (November 16, 2016) – Celebrate the start of the holiday season on Saturday at the Figge Art Museum with free admission all day in conjunction with the Festival of Trees Holiday Parade.

 

 

Guests are invited to warm-up inside the Figge while sampling complimentary cookies and cocoa. All are welcome to decorate ornaments for display on the Figge’s trees or to take home as special mementos.

The galleries will be open for guests to stroll through and see the current exhibitions including Giving the Devil His Due: The Art of Gary Kelley, Portrait of Maquoketa, Rembrandt and the Jews, College Invitational 2016 and the permanent collection galleries.

 

 

The Museum Store will be open for holiday shopping, so pick up some one-of-a-kind gifts for someone special or purchase a gift membership for the art lover in your life.

 

 

About the Figge Art Museum:

The Figge Art Museum is located on the riverfront in downtown Davenport at 225 West Second Street. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday and Sundays noon to 5 p.m. Thursdays the museum is open until 9 p.m. Admission to the museum and tour is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and students with ID and $4 children ages 4-12. Admission is free to Figge members and institutional members, and free to all on Thursday evenings from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Figge Café is open 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday-Friday.
