SERVING THE COMMUNITY AND BEYOND

While local schools see uncertainty with state budgets, Ascentra Credit Union has allowed its members to help our schools, many of which are experiencing financial hardships.  From June through December of last year, all qualifying new auto loan recipients who mentioned the promotion were given $50 to keep for themselves and another $50 to be donated to the school of their choice.  The donations have been tallied up and our region’s school districts, colleges, and private schools recently received their surprise donation checks.  A total of $5,800 has been given out to schools throughout our region as part of the $50/$50 auto promotion from Ascentra. Recently, Ascentra presented the Davenport Community School District with $1,250, the Muscatine Community School District received $950, and the Moline-Coal Valley School District was awarded with $600. Schools from Bettendorf, Clinton, East Moline and many others throughout our region also received these unexpected donations.

Riverside Church has partnered with Grow ministries and has opened a safe house together for women and children.   We still do have several needs that can be found on this target registry.   Consider helping by going to www.target.com and search for "Grow Ministries House Warming Shower."  You can send or drop off any donations to Riverside church at 302 North Cody Road Le Claire Iowa.   (This is tax deductible)

Are you Married or engaged? Riverside Church wants to host an Alpha Marriage course!  This 6 week course will deepen your relationship with your spouse.  Cost $50 per couple which will include 2 books and dessert each week.   The Course will include: understanding one another’s needs, communicate more effectively, grow closer through resolving conflict, heal the ways you've hurt each other, recognize how your upbringing affects your relationship, improve relationships with parents and in laws, develop greater sexual intimacy, discover each others love languages.  Please Call Pastor Anthony for more information:  563-289-7712
