April 24th - Our Savior Presbyterian (Argo) - the Barley House Band performing Celtic, Bluegrass and Southern Gospel music during our worship service, 10 a.m.

April 25th – Freedom Rock Special Event President of the Ladies Auxiliary - Veterans of Foreign Wars, Francisca Guilford, from Anchorage, Alaska, along with Penny Hurt, State President of the Iowa VFW Auxiliary, and Travis Holden, the State VFW Commander, will be in LeClaire, Iowa to visit the Scott County Freedom Rock on April 25, about 10 a.m. The Mayor of LeClaire, Ray Allen, will be proclaiming April 25, 2016, as “Our Veterans – Now and Forever Day” at the council meeting on April 18th and presenting the proclamation to VFW Auxiliary President Francisca Guilford at the Scott County Freedom Rock on April 25th. Please plan to attend this event in honor of our veterans.

May 28th - The City of Baton Rouge, the Twilight’s dock boat, Celebrates 100 Years! 1p.m. Come celebrate with the captain and crew at their port in LeClaire. Presentation from the City of LeClaire, Captain Kevin and other honorable guests to provide history, blessings and remarks in regards to this timeless vessel. Light refreshments, guided tours and commemorative gifts will be available. Historical photos and artifacts will also be on display. This is a FREE event! Please RSVP to info@riverboattwilght.com.

Ascentra Credit Union was recently honored with six Diamond Awards, which recognizes outstanding marketing and business development achievements in the credit union industry. Ascentra received top honors in the following categories: • Community PR-One-Time Event:  A series of events, promotions, and contests tied to the grand opening of their branch located in Davenport, Iowa.  • Segmented Marketing:  Ascentra’s outreach efforts in the central Davenport, Iowa area which surrounds the newly built branch.
