October 15th – Masonic Lodge Soup Supper 4 to 7 p.m.  Serving at the Masonic Center, 113S.Cody Rd. LeClaire. Sponsored by the Order of the Eastern Star & Masonic Lodge of Le Claire. FREE WILL DONATION will go to support the various charities & community projects we support.  Serving homemade chicken noodle soup, corn bread, desserts and beverages. October 15th - Public Paranormal Investigation (pre-registration is required) at the Buffalo Bill Museum 199 N. Front Street, LeClaire, IA. 8p.m.-? Join the Illinois Paranormal Research Group as they investigate the historic Buffalo Bill Museum in LeClaire.  During this unique experience, the public will be able to investigate the Lone Star, an 1890 Steam Boat along with other exhibits in the museum. The Illinois Paranormal Research Group conducted a private investigation at the museum on July 1, 2016; during the private investigation the group experienced activity in the museum exhibit spaces. This is your chance to tag along with an investigation group and perhaps witness activity for yourself. Space is very limited for the investigation. October 19th – First Presbyterian Church – LeClaire Inviting all women to our Fall Women's Retreat. We will meet at the church at 9 am and go to Camp Wyoming. Bring a sack lunch and something to drink. Bible lesson, fellowship, time outside to enjoy nature and a simple craft. We will be back to LeClaire before 5 pm. Cost $10. October 19th -  5-8pm: OPEN LATE! Join us for a fun evening and partake of the shopping and nightlife that LeClaire has to offer! Some of the shops that will be open until 8pm include Artswork, Aunt Hattie’s, Bela, Divine Dezigns by LauraLee, Grasshoppers, Isabel Bloom, Kernel Cody’s Popcorn Shoppe, LeClaire Olive Oil Company, Letty’s Designs & Home Décor and Razzleberries. Antique Archaeology is open until 6pm and Urban Classic Home are open until 7pm. Enjoy “Libations Lane” with craft beer at the Green Tree Brewery, spirit sampling at the Mississippi River Distilling Company, and wine tasting at the Wide River Winery Tasting Room. All the restaurants and bars will be open, too!

October 22nd – Trivia Night - Location to be Determined Sgt Leevon Ritter, local soldier and Pleasant Valley High school graduate who died May 22, 2012, will be one of only 60 organ donors honored on the Donate Life Parade float in the 2017 Tournament of Roses Parade. Sgt Ritter’s family will be traveling to Pasadena December 28-January 3 to meet with other donor families, recipients and living donors. Funds raised will help with airfare, hotel and general event expenses. Any additional monies raised will go to help other donor families who have also been selected to honor their loved ones. October 29th – Witches’ Walk Free Family Fun on the Levee in LeClaire, Iowa! 11:30a.m.-2p.m. Registration for the Witches’ Walk & Costume Parade begins at 11:30am. Parade starts at 1pm. Enter to have your costume judged or just join the parade. There will be kids' activities before the parade and candy and "Trunk or Treat" during the parade. Rain date is November 5. November 4th – First Friday in LeClaire

 

November 12th - 12th Annual Harvest Feast - Zion Lutheran Church – Princeton Everyone is welcome to join in sharing an evening of food, fun and fellowship 4:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. The menu features homemade beef stew, apple sauce, cold slaw and a variety of breads, desserts and drinks.  The cost is $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for children. Children under 5 are free. The beef served is the well-known Sawyer Beef raised by Norman and Neal Sawyer on their Princeton Farm. Holly Mangels, co-chairman, states that the evening is a fundraiser for all of Zion’s local, national and international missions.  The Sunday School has just completed packing love boxes for 12 of our loved ones’ military members.  The boxes contained necessities, treats and prayer books. The live auction starts at 6:00 P.M.  There is always a wide variety of new items, party events, boat rides, dinner outings, sporting events and handmade jewelry. There will also be numerous items available for the silent auction. All adults are welcome to enjoy an evening of wine tasting. Zion Lutheran Church has served the local community for 165 years and is looking forward to continue serving for many years in the future.

 

November 12th - The Lion King - Interactive Movie at Riverside Church 6-8p.m.  Your child will enjoy the actions, tasks, and snacks provided!  Children 7 and older maybe dropped off but children 6 and under need a guardian to stay with them.   Please contact April at 920-287-8851 with any questions.

November 21st - Central DeWitt Performing Arts Center - The Hunts 7:00pm. $15 Adults, $5 Students. An indie-folk band from the southlands of Chesapeake, Virginia, these seven brothers and sisters ranging from ages 16 to 24, have a passion for creating compelling music. December 2nd-4th – Christmas in LeClaire - Looking for Strolling Santas and Other Characters for Christmas in LeClaire! Volunteers for Friday evening after 4 p.m. Sat. from 11 until 7pm and Sunday from 12 noon until 3pm. Great Costumes and goodies to pass out provided! Eating at church, at the “Milestones Café” provides a social opportunity, a nutritious meal at an affordable price, a good reason to get out of the house and a break from cooking!
