LECLAIRE, IOWA: Come to LeClaire, Iowa, December 2, 3 & 4 (Friday & Saturday 10am-8pm and Sunday 10am-4pm) to celebrate Christmas in LeClaire. Stop at the Civic Center (127 S. Cody Road) and enjoy a selection of baked goods and handmade crafts and bid on items in our silent auction. Come to the Snow Lodge (113 S. Cody Road) for homemade cookies & bars, crafts and lunch. Visit a church bazaar where kids can decorate their own cookie and enjoy baked goods and family activities. Kids can have breakfast and visit with Santa on Saturday from 8-10am at Happy Joes: kids - $4.50 & adults - $8.50. (Santa will be around to visit with kids until 3pm). Visit Santa's Gift Shop in the Civic Center parking lot from 11am-4pm on Saturday & Sunday where they can pick out 3 free gifts for their family. Also in the parking lot, watch a chainsaw carver create works of art from 10am-4pm on Saturday. Or watch a master carver make wooden shoes in the Civic Center also from 10am-4pm. Take a free trolley ride from one end of town to the other with stops along the way (Saturday from 11am-7pm and Sunday from 11am-4pm). Visit Mississippi River Distilling Co. and other participating shops and restaurants for First Friday and First Saturday events, 5:30-8pm both days. Meet Santas and Christmas characters from other countries as they stroll around the downtown Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy great shopping and dining at our various shops and restaurants. Saturday, December 3, 10am: Christmas in LeClaire Ugly Christmas Sweater 5K Run/Walk. Starting line is at Blackhawk Bank & Trust (2nd St. & Davenport St.) 3.1 Mile family-friendly run or walk; pets on a leash and strollers are welcome. Packet Pick-Up is Friday, December 2 from 5pm-8pm at Snap Fitness in LeClaire. After-Race Party will immediately follow the race.
