Mike Madigan announced that the House will not meet tomorrow as scheduled.

“We don’t have a budget, we haven’t reformed Illinois, and our schools may not open in the fall.  It is outrageous that less than a week after Democrats failed to pass any budget, Mike Madigan would cancel tomorrow’s planned session. These are desperate times for our state, and Mike Smiddy is playing games and refusing to take positions on the budget. Mike Smiddy needs to stand up to the Speaker, do his job, and pass a balanced budget that reforms our state government and gets Illinois back on track.” - Illinois Republican Party Spokesman Steven Yaffe
