The Putnam Pro After School Series is 6 weeks of exciting, hands-on learning that invites students to dive deep into exciting concepts! Use the Putnam’s FabLab Classroom and cool tools in the Museum and Science Center to take learning to the next level!

The Putnam Pro After School Series is open to current 4th - 8th graders and meets weekly from 3:45 - 5:15 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays. Cost is $80 ($72 for members) per series. Pre-registration is required for all programs as there are a limited number of reservations available. Scholarship resources may also be available. PUTNAM PROGRAMMERS PRO I
Tuesdays, 3:45 – 5:15 PM, January 26 - March 1
Take the first step to becoming a programming wizard! Learn about skills programmers & coders rely on to be successful. Learn to use Blockly to build actions for a 2D object to follow, create your own games and animations using Scratch, and program a simple robot!
PUTNAM PROGRAMMERS PRO II
Mondays, 3:45 – 5:15 pm, January 25 - March 7
(No Class February 15)
Tuesdays, 3:45 – 5:15 PM, March 29 – May 3
Use advanced language in Turtle Art to create complex designs and a frameable masterpiece. Learn how loops and actions in SCRATCH can make your
programming more user friendly and efficient. Build on your BLOCKY knowledge and program our newest robots to perform a musical light show! 
PUTNAM PROGRAMMERS PRO III
Mondays, 3:45 – 5:15 PM, March 28 - May 2
We will combine the components of the Engineering Design Model and previous programming skills during this workshop. Participants will build and program the new EV3Mindstorms LEGO kit. At the end of this six week session participants will hold their own mini-robotics competition on a custom LEGO competition field.
DIY MAKERS PRO
Thursdays, 3:45 – 5:15 PM, January 28 - March 3
Sew, solder and more! Use your techie and creative sides at the same time.
Combine electronics with crafty DIY projects to bring normal objects to life with
elaborate LEDs and vinyl stickers that you design and print yourself in our FabLab. 
DIRECTORS CUT PRO
Thursdays, 3:45 – 5:15 PM, March 31 - May 5
Lights! Camera! Action! Learn about creating a storyboard, how to use a green screen and adding music to help tell your story. Produce, edit and direct your own short film. At the end of the six week session walk the Giant Screen theater red carpet as you premier your film to family and friends!
