Judge, a former nurse, will work to protect and expand access to healthcare in Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa – Today, Patty Judge announced members of Healthcare Professionals for Patty, a group of current and former healthcare professionals in Iowa who know Patty Judge will fight for access to affordable and quality healthcare as Iowa’s next U.S. Senator.

"As a former nurse in rural Iowa, I understand we need to increase access to healthcare across our state. Whether you live in Des Moines or Albia, we need to ensure that all Iowans have access to affordable, quality healthcare,” said Patty Judge. “In the U.S. Senate I will work to expand access to healthcare for both urban and rural areas of the country."

As a former nurse, Patty Judge knows firsthand the challenges that healthcare professionals face in Iowa. In the Iowa State Senate she was a champion for increasing access to healthcare and increasing the role of nurses in healthcare delivery in the state. In the U.S. Senate, she will continue her lifetime of fighting for healthcare access by working to lower the cost of prescription drugs.
