Volunteer effort collects signatures from across Iowa in less than two weeks

DES MOINES, Iowa – Patty Judge’s nominating petitions have been filed and accepted by the Iowa Secretary of State’s office, placing her on the June 7th primary ballot.

“I’ve been fortunate to have supporters from across Iowa volunteer their time to ensure that my name is on the ballot,” said Patty Judge. “This is exactly the kind of grassroots engagement that will carry our campaign forward and give Chuck Grassley the toughest challenge he has ever faced.”

Judge collected more than 4,500 signatures – over twice the amount required to appear on the ballot – in less than two weeks since announcing her candidacy. Judge’s signature collection was a volunteer-led effort that engaged Democratic activists across the state.

“I’m excited to be on the ballot again. We’re going to run a strong campaign and keep this momentum going,” added Judge.

Judge has previously won three statewide elections, serving two terms as Iowa Secretary of Agriculture and one term as Iowa’s Lieutenant Governor. Iowans can join the campaign online at www.pattyjudgeforiowa.com, by following @PattyJudge, or on Facebook.
