Judge will fight broken system of tax breaks and loopholes for those at the to
DES MOINES, Iowa – Patty Judge’s second television ad in her campaign for U.S. Senate focuses on the broken system in Washington that supports the wealthy and big corporations instead of middle class families.
“The wealthy and big corporations get enough help from Washington, and Chuck Grassley has played a big part in that over his 41 years in office,” said Patty Judge. “I think it’s time someone stood up for the rest of us. I’m running for U.S. Senate because we need to focus on creating new opportunities for hard working families here in Iowa.”
Since announcing her candidacy, Judge has focused her campaign on promoting policies to grow the middle class in America by giving working families the opportunity to get ahead. Judge supports increasing the minimum wage to $15/hour, she has proposed providing two free years of community college to students who meet academic requirements, and she supports lifting the cap on Social Security wages.
During his time in office, Chuck Grassley has consistently supported tax breaks and loopholes for the wealthy and big corporations. In addition to supporting the Bush-era tax cuts for those at the top, Grassley has a history of supporting tax breaks to companies that ship jobs overseas, and has opposed bills aimed a protecting American jobs.
The ad, titled “Enough,” will begin airing today and is available online here. Judge’s first television ad focused on her work to help Iowa recover from devastating floods in 2008, that ad is online here.
