Judge has over $209,000 cash on hand only weeks after announcing

DES MOINES, Iowa – Patty Judge has filed her first fundraising report since announcing her candidacy for U.S. Senate. Judge will report raising nearly $215,000 on her first quarter report – which covers only the initial weeks of her campaign. Over 5,000 individual contributors have already donated to the campaign.

“I’m overwhelmed by the support I’ve received since announcing my candidacy,” said Patty Judge. “I joined this race because I believe Chuck Grassley has stopped listening to Iowans. He’s standing in the way of hearings on filling the Supreme Court vacancy and it’s more clear than ever that we need a change. I’m going to run an aggressive campaign with the resources to beat Chuck Grassley in November.”

Judge announced her candidate on March 4th, with less than four weeks remaining in the first quarter. Since her announcement she has received widespread support from Democratic activists and community leaders across the state and the Cook Political Report has already downgraded the race from “Strong Republican.”

“Patty is a challenger unlike any that Chuck Grassley has ever faced. She’s going to hold him accountable and have the campaign necessary to defeat to him,” said Sam Roecker, Judge’s campaign manager.
