DES MOINES, Iowa – Patty Judge has released her first ad in Iowa’s U.S. Senate race, focusing on her experience coordinating the state’s response to the devastating floods in 2008.

“We’re at our best when we work together to get things done. I’m proud of the way Iowans responded to flooding in 2008 and the way our communities came together to recover,” said Patty Judge. “Unfortunately, this kind of cooperation isn’t happening in Washington today. Iowans are frustrated with the obstruction and inaction and I think it’s time for a change.”

During her time as Iowa’s Lt. Governor, Patty was also the state’s Homeland Security Advisor. In that role she coordinated the state’s response to the floods. Patty also served as the first director of the Rebuild Iowa Office, which was established to coordinate the state’s rebuilding effort after the floods.

The ad, titled “Flood,” is available online at https://youtu.be/DtCiJ9LVP58. It will begin airing later today in the Des Moines and Cedar Rapids media markets.
