DES MOINES, Iowa – In a new web video, Patty Judge’s U.S. Senate campaign highlights Chuck Grassley’s refusal to hold confirmation hearings for Judge Merrick Garland, and his belief that Donald Trump would nominate the “right type” of justice to the Supreme Court.

“After 35 years, Washington has changed Chuck Grassley. Instead of doing the job Iowa sent him there to do, he has become the face of obstruction – on the Supreme Court and so many other issues,” said Patty Judge. “Even now that Donald Trump is the final Republican candidate standing, Chuck Grassley refuses to hold hearings. We have to make a change and get the U.S. Senate back to work, that’s exactly why I’m running.”

The video highlights Grassley’s continued refusal to hold hearings to fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court, as well as his assertion that Donald Trump would pick a suitable justice to fill the vacancy if he becomes the next president. Grassley’s reaffirmation of support for Trump comes at a time when the the U.S Senate is on pace to work the fewest days in 60 years.

“Washington’s broken and it needs to be fixed. We’re building the campaign to do that and I look forward to giving Chuck Grassley the race of his career,” added Judge.
