AMANA, Iowa- Join us in the historical Amana Colonies for Rhubarbfest, Saturday June 4, 2016, for all that is Rhubarb! There’s a unique experience waiting for all ages during our second rhubarb celebration! Great food, music and FUN!

Rhubarbfest kicks off with featured rhubarb menu items at our local restaurants- from savory to sweet, you won’t leave hungry. Special events around town include a homemade wine contest, and the always fun Rhubarb Games where you can watch or join in the action!

Many of the local businesses will offer samples and special products, all featuring rhubarb; a traditional Amana spring plant. Special products including rhubarb soap, chocolates, jams, coffee cakes, wine, beer, pies, and much more will be available in our shops.

The afternoon is highlighted by a performance of “Grant Wood: Prairie Rebel” at the Ackerman Winery, followed by the Rhubarb Games, and live music at one of our wineries and BrewBQ and Blues at the local brewery.  If you are looking for more music the Old Creamery presents their production of “The Million Dollar Quartet” at 7:30 that evening.

Several of the Inns and B&Bs have specials available for those spending the night.

For more information and full Rhubarbfest schedule visit amanacolonies.com, or call 319-622-7622.
