A scholarship for Moline High School students, Moline Rotary Scholarship, is now available online at www.molinefoundation.org. In addition, applications for a United High School student scholarship, are available at the United Township High School counseling office for The Doug Reynolds Rotary Scholarship, administered through the Moline Foundation. All scholarships must be submitted by midnight on March 16, 2016. All reference letters need to be mailed with a postmark on or before March 16, 2016. Reference letters should be mailed to: The Moline Foundation, 817 11th Avenue, Moline IL 61265. The following is a list of scholarships, criteria and deadlines:

1. Moline Rotary Scholarship – Due Wednesday, March 16, 2016

Three $1,000 one-time scholarships to be awarded in 2016. Must live within Moline School District No. 40 boundaries. Graduate from Class of 2016 (or already continuing education in the medical field). Must have high scholastic performance in the upper one third of their class or a grade point performance of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Scholarship awards will only be made to applicants who will be attending local Quad Cities colleges or universities.

Special consideration will be given to individuals continuing their education in the medical field or working toward a career in the human services field.

Based on financial need, high school activities, community volunteer activities, special awards and honors and involvement in any Rotary-sponsored group or activity. Must submit an essay How do you personify the Motto of Rotary "Service Above Self?"

2. Doug Reynolds Rotary Scholarship – Due Wednesday, March 16, 2016

In years one (1) and two (2), Black Hawk College will receive $1,000 per year (payable as $500 per semester) toward tuition while the recipient is enrolled as a full-time student. In years three (3) and four (4), the scholastic institution of the recipient’s choice will receive $2,000 per year ($1,000 per semester) while the recipient is enrolled as a full-time student. The scholastic institution must be an accredited college or university.

NO online application available.  Please contact Abby Demory at United Township High School for application. Must be graduate of United Township High School - Class of  2016. Applicant must enroll at Black Hawk College (Moline, IL campus) as a full-time student for two years, followed by full time enrollment in an accredited college or university in years three and four. Please see application for other criteria.
