Stroll the shops and galleries of Bucktown Center for the Arts and sample desserts from Downtown shops Oh So Sweet by Tiphanie, Chocolate Manor, SIS International, Madeline's Made From Scratch Cinnamon Rolls, Dimitri Wine and Spirits and more.

The “Sweet Charity” Fundraiser is open to the public.  A donation of $10 will secure the donor 4 tickets for up to four delicious treats. All of the proceeds benefit the Central Community Circle Food Pantry. The event will take place on Final Friday, January 29, 2016 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Bucktown Center for the Arts, 225 E. Second Street in Downtown Davenport.

The Central Community Circle Food Pantry was formed as a not-for-profit charity to fill the void left by the closing of the John Lewis Food Pantry in Central Davenport. “Last year, we helped to feed 235+ people per month. Since August, we have seen a 20% increase in those numbers,” said the artist and secretary for the CCC Food Pantry. “While donations of can goods are wonderful, any monetary donation can be tripled when we purchase from the Riverbend Food Bank. Any donation is tax deductible as we are a 501C3.”

The pantry provides emergency food supplies to our neighbors of all ages, individuals and families - food (meat, margarine, milk, eggs, cereal, juice, fruit, vegetables, etc…) and personal hygiene products (dish soap, shampoo, soap, laundry detergent, deodorant, toothpaste). Bereskin added, “With uncertain times we anticipate an even greater need for our pantry. CCC Food Pantry is run solely by volunteers – we have no payroll or administrative expenses.”
