Work is accelerating on Restoration St. Louis' $60M City Square project. The former Parker Building will become the new downtown home of Wells Fargo, additional Class A office users, and residential apartments. The projected opening is slated for late spring/early summer. Here's an inside look by Davenport Today in to the construction project.  We can't wait for this beauty to be complete!

Speaking of completed projects, we will be celebrating the grand opening of two downtown businesses this week! Come tour the [design] [build] by architects space with us this Friday. Their Airstream mobile office will be on site too; see the super cool 'Archistream' in person! NEXT Thursday, join us at Endless Brews, the first craft-beer bottle shop and tap room to open in the QC! It will be a tough job to taste the entire selection, but someone has to do it.

There's more tasting to be had on Friday for Distillery Night at Great River Brewery. GRB's first ever "Drinks by the Glass" will feature Artisan Grain Rum & Coke. Saturday, the Cupcake Challenge continues with just four amateur bakers remaining. They've paired up with the Sugarmama's at Oh So Sweet, and you can catch them baking in action starting at 2 p.m. The tasting and judging begins at 3:45!

Tonight is Pechakucha Night at the Figge! It's a fun, informal event featuring residents of the QC who share their interests, hobbies, passions and creations. Admission is free, plus the Figge Cafe is open late! Also, this Sunday is the first recognition ceremony for the annual Young Artists at the Figge exhibition.

Eight galleries in Bucktown will be open late for Final Friday. Midcoast Gallery is featuring New Orleans style artwork of Karen Bloome, Zydeco music and Cajun food! Stop in and see the display dedicated to Black History Month on the second floor, and check out the featured portrait work of local students on "Till the Cows Come Home" at Bereskin.

The German American Heritage Center continues their Spring Craft Workshops on Saturday. Make felted eggs with Gisela McDonald for some colorful spring decor. Sunday enjoy the Grass Between the Rails program by Denny Rehder. It's a musical treat with this historian and musician!

It's a Bob Marley Birthday Bash in the Redstone Room on Friday! The special tribute show kicks off at 8 p.m. featuring Natty Nation, DJ Trichrome and Firesale. Nicholas David had an unforgettable run on NBC's The Voice in 2012, and the soulful singer/songwriter will play right here at RME on Saturday. Local artist Lewis Knudsen is opening the show!

The 4th annual Quad Cities Restaurant Week kicks off on Monday, so start planning your lunch meetings and dinners out! Simply choose a restaurant from those listed on the website and select from the special lunch or dinner menus. Check out the full list of participating restaurants.

Two music icons will join together for the first time NEXT Thursday as Daytrotter hosts the Quad Cities Symphony Orchestra at its new downtown venue for Network @ Night. Enjoy networking with the regions young professionals while listening to live pieces from our local QCSO.
