A brand new celebration is hitting the streets of the Quad Cities. Concerts, plays, Broadway, dance, comedy and more can be found at more than 90 events taking place at various venues during the month of April for Quad Cities Live. This week downtown Davenport is featuring a variety of shows at the Adler Theatre and Redstone Room.

One of the most enduring shows of all time, Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber's, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat takes the Adler stage on Monday. On Tuesday, the one and only John Mellencamp will make a stop on his Plain Spoken Tour - check out our Facebook page, we have two tickets to giveaway! Also, catch the QC Symphony Masterworks VI: The Resurrection at the Adler this weekend.  Or, join RME for Blues Cafe, a free improvisation session featuring local professional musicians!

The Redstone Room is hosting its 10-year anniversary party on Friday featuring the Jeff Austin Band (formerly of Yonder Mountain String Band)! RME's Kate Dale recently shared some magical moments of the last ten years with the QC Times, and we have a feeling Friday will be another great moment to remember. Cheers to many more years, guys! Tonight, catch up-and-coming country/pop artist, Hailey Whitters.  The delightfully-named Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will bring the funk to RME on Wednesday.

Tonight at The Figge, Wendy DesChene and Jeff Schmuki will present The Moth Project, an off-grid public artwork that promotes the importance of pollinating insects in our environment. Plus, Augustana students will release their local PlantBots! This Saturday, enjoy a Free Family Day at the museum. Quad City Arts and the Figge are partnering to present an artist talk and book signing with sensational photographer Mark Hirsch on Tuesday. He will discuss his project, That Tree.

Art lovers and dance enthusiasts alike will delight in the new exhibit, "Pas de Deux/A Dance for Two" coming to Bucktown. David Anderson will discuss his work Friday at the opening reception, and Courtney Lyon of Ballet Quad Cities will describe her experience choreographing the classic ballet, The Firebird.

Caged Aggression MMA is featuring an all amateur card on Friday and a professional card on Saturday at the RiverCenter. The pace changes on Monday at the RiverCenter when local Chefs are paired with high school students to compete for best dish during the Taste of ProStart fundraiser. Don't forget next week, Donnie Wahlberg will be in town for the 7th Annual Intimate Conversations fundraiser to benefit Gilda's Club Quad Cities!

Digital Experience Analyst Jaimy Szymanksi
is conducting a workshop at the Creative Collective on Wednesday! Don't miss this rare opportunity to learn essential information on understanding your digital customer. This luncheon session will provide templates so you can begin getting better results from your online, social and mobile marketing investments.

Craft whiskey is making a comeback in the Q-C, and it's all about the locally grown corn and grain. Downtown Davenport's very own Artisan Grain Distillery makes rum, moonshine and whiskey! Located on East 2nd, they are open for tours on Friday's and Saturdays. Stop in to see the process and taste samples!
