A new study has shown that attending live music events reduces your levels of stress; fortunately, downtown Davenport has plenty of live music! If you haven't had a chance to check out the new Daytrotter space, head there on Sunday for a FREE show with Phoebe Bridgers. The Moeller Monday lineup is major this week with Matthew Logan Vasquez of Delta Spirit, Reverend Baron and Spirit Ghost! Next Thursday at Daytrotter, Max Jury plays with Sister Wife.

There's even more live music to see at River Music Experience and the Adler. Tonight, Sean Watkins plays the Redstone Room.  This weekend, you can catch The David Mayfield Parade with The Velies, or Russ Nolan Quartet! QC Rock Academy is providing an opportunity to learn from touring bassist and guitarists Annie Clements & Scott Patton (from Sugarland's band!), who are in town with Jennifer Nettles at the Adler for the "CMT Next Women of Country Tour."

The Quad Cities River Bandits have a weekend home stand against the Kane County Cougars; this season is full of promotions! A trio of Main Street businesses were the first honorees of a new award celebrating local small business. Mayor Frank Klipsch kicked-ff this new initiative that celebrates businesses being the foundations of our community. Endless Brews, The Full Kit and Oh So Sweet by Tiphanie were all recognized. Congrats to our neighbors on Main! 

Next Thursday, visit Studio 56/Azubuike Gallery at Bucktown for "A Film & A Conversation" featuring Through the Lens Darkly: Black Photographers and the Emergence of a People.   Bucktown is also offering a three-day portrait and figure workshop next weekend by award-winning artist Tina Garrett. Tina was recently named an Associate Living Master Artist, the second-highest designation bestowed by the Art Renewal Center.
