DAVENPORT, IA - Tori’s Art of Hope’s first annual fundraiser will be held on Sunday, May 15th, from 1PM-6PM at the Col Ballroom, 1012 W. 4th Street, Davenport.

The fundraiser is in memory of 14-year-old Tori Vogel of Davenport, a childhood cancer warrior who died of secondary acute myeloid leukemia at the end of her treatment for Ewing's sarcoma in May of 2015.

Tori was a talented anime artist and musician. Her parents, Dawn and Eddie Vogel of Davenport, began a project to share her love of art with children undergoing treatment at University of Iowa Children’s Hospital (UICH). They assemble and distribute bright red gable boxes full of art supplies, small games, and treats to pediatric patients in the 2-14 year age range.

The event will include food, 50/50 drawing, raffle baskets, silent auction, airbrush tattoos, and music. BE THE MATCH registry will be present to collect cheek swabs for bone marrow and stem cell transplant donor screening. Donor volunteers aged 18-44 are eligible for screening. All proceeds go to fund supplies for art boxes for UICH, outreach mailings to hospitalized kids around the US, special projects and gifts at Christmas time for the kids at UICH, research, and a future scholarship.
