Davenport, Iowa, September 30, 2016 – The delegates of United Auto Workers Southeast Iowa Community Action Program (CAP Council), voted to endorse the following local candidates for the General Election on November 8th, 2016:

Scott County Supervisor:

Scott Tunicliff & Jane Duax

Scott County Auditor:

Roxanna Moritz

UAW CAP Council sent out questionnaires to all the candidates who filed for election. After reviewing returned questionnaires, we held interviews with candidates and made recommendations on endorsements to our delegates at our August 28th CAP Council meeting. The delegates unanimously voted to endorse these candidates based on their commitments to working families.

The UAW CAP Council encourages its members to support these candidates because they will work to raise wages, improve infrastructure, protect our right to vote, and ensure that Scott County has quality and affordable mental health care services.

UAW CAP Council represents workers at UAW plants across South Eastern Iowa, including locals 281 and 1896 which represent workers at John Deere Davenport Works and Sears Seating.
