 Whether you're looking for some blues, acoustic pop, jazz, or rock, River Music Experience has you covered this weekend. Matthew Curry and The Fury bring some electrifying blues and blues rock tonight, while Daphne Willis mixes things up a bit with her acoustic pop/rock set on Friday. Get your rock fix on Saturday when Chicago's Molehill performs with From Hatred to Heroes. On Sunday, hear the hottest jazz in the QC when Third Sunday Jazz presents Daniel Leahy Trio. It's College Night at the Figge tonight! Venture out for the opening reception for the new College Invitational Exhibition and stick around to congratulate students during the awards ceremony. This new exhibit will display artwork by college students from local colleges and universities including Ashford University, Augustana College, St. Ambrose University, and more. Help support the works of local students! With holiday season right around the corner, it's time for the opening of Christkinldmarkt! Head to the German American Heritage Center Saturday and shop their Kaufplatz Gift Shop to find gifts for all ages that fit all budgets. Surprise loved ones this season with traditional German gifts, cookies, and other treats. On Sunday, hear film aficionado Bob King discuss the life of actress-mathematician, Hedy Lamarr. Find out why some say this actress's career was an intriguing controversy. Learn about industrial hemp and hemp products this weekend at Bucktown Center for the Arts. A screening of the documentary "Bringing it Home" will be hosted on Saturday with a Q&A Session, an informative history display exhibit, and more. Although the cold weather has arrived, continue to buy fresh and buy local at the Freight House Farmer's Market this winter. See what fresh foods, unique crafts, and delicious treats are available all winter long at the indoor market. Shop the entire strip by stopping in the QC Food Hub for organic goodies or Front Street Brewery for a local brew, too! Next Saturday marks the start of the Quad City Arts Festival of Trees! Kick off the event right by attending the Holiday Parade. Keep in mind the parade starts at 10:15 a.m. this year!
