Looking to start your weekend off with some laughs? River Music Experience presents the Randy and Mr. Lahey Show tomorrow featuring a night of comedy and good fun. Prepare yourself for a day of music for all ages on Saturday with the Community Drum Circle, Kidz Days at RME, Reed All About It and the Quinns, and Deja vu Rendezvous with The Fez and The Low Down. Get your art fix, too, by checking out the When Colors Play Art Exhibit in the RME Gallery.
The Davenport RAGBRAI team hosts a Community Rally on Tuesday at the Freight House. Ride on down to ask questions about the ride, sign up for volunteer opportunities, learn tips from the Quad Cities Bicycle Club, and more. Be sure to swing by the Farmers Market, Quad Cities Food Hub, Fresh Deli, and Front Street Brewery Tap Room while you're around!
If you haven't already, stop by the Figge and browse the Yuriko Yamaguchi Exhibition before it closes Sunday afternoon. Full of organic, web-like sculptures made from leaves, seed pods, and more, this unique exhibit is one you won't want to miss. On Thursday, join the Figge for the Opening Reception of i <3 Figge. This exhibit features artwork from area students showcasing what the Figge means to them. Don't forget about the Wine & Art session that evening, too.
With a focus on urban landmarks of the Quad Cities and action shots of local skateboarders, the photos of Creative Arts Academy student Nathan Cunningham are sure to impress while on display at L&D 15 this weekend. Come see how he captured the area's vitality through various photos during the Light Way Exhibit on Saturday. Save some time to shimmy through the unique retail items at L&D 15, too!
Bowling, dancing, and sampling new food and drink...find it all at Blackhawk Bowl and Martini Lounge tomorrow! Prestige Music will be spinning your favorite dance hits as the crew debuts their new martini list and pub menu. So gather up some friends and enjoy an evening of new drink specials, games of bowling for $5, and upbeat live music.
