Tis the weekend for fairs and festivals! On Saturday and Sunday, peruse fine art of all kinds at the Beaux Arts Fair. Take the family out for a weekend of crafts, musical entertainment, a children's area and food all for FREE! Tomorrow also marks the start of the East West Riverfest! Revel in two weeks of music, theatre, art, dance, tours, history, and more all throughout the Quad Cities. Click here to check out the events the coming weeks have in store for you!
After sharing the stage with acts like the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Bassnectar to appearing on ESPN's Espy Awards, MarchFourth Marching Band returns to the River Music Experience on Sunday! Prepare yourself for costumed beauties, acrobatic stilt walkers, fire arts, and more when this unique big band takes the stage. Until then, head out on Friday to hear the familiar tunes of singer/ songwriter Gretchen Peters. And if you're still on the country kick, show off your line dancing moves at Saturday's Dress Up and Dance: Country Hoedown featuring North of 40.
As summer creeps to an end, spend your night on the Figge Plaza for Thursdays at the Figge: Project GreenSpace and Wine & Art! Purchase your favorite grilled foods and cold beverages while enjoying a movie projected on the building and  browsing the Figge's 25 Cent Art Magazine sale! Be sure to stop back at the Figge Friday through Sunday to browse the Relics of the Buddha Exhibition encouraging kindness and tolerance.
Join the German American Heritage Center this week during their Teacher Workshop or their Film Showing, both which relate to the Mildred Fish Harnack Exhibit. Take the time to learn about the only American woman to be executed under Hilter's direct order. Don't forget to submit entries for the Photography Contest, too! You have until September 22 to submit three photos from your recent travels.
Treat your taste buds to a new brew tonight at the Empyrean Tap Take Over at Brady Street Pub! Try some local favorites along with special releases from the Empyrean Brewery out of Nebraska. Grab some dinner while you're there to see how BSP was an honorable mention for Best Burger and Best Chicken Wings in the QC Times Readers' Choice Awards!  Of course, don't forget about the Freight House Farmers Market, too.
Adler Cooler weather is just around the corner, but that means the Adler Theatre will be heating up! The Adler's lineup this year is outstanding! Click here to see all of the upcoming Adler Theatre shows and make plans early to hit up as many events as you can this season.
See you downtown!
