 Venture out to the banks of the Mississippi with some friends this Saturday for award-winning beer and cheese tastings! Presented by WQTP-Quad Cities PBS, this year's Brew Ha Ha will feature live music by Jim the Mule, live comedy from The Blacklist, crazy fun games, and more! Make a day of it and hop over to Centennial Park Saturday for the Celtic Festival and Highland Games! Who wouldn't want to see a live caber toss or stone of strength!? The event also features live entertainment, family activities, and you guessed it - much more. Attention fans of the NBC hit comedy series, The Office! Come hear the audio-biography of Creed Bratton when he tells his story through music at the Adler Theatre tonight. Get a feel for what Bratton's life is like behind the screens. On Saturday, the Quad City Rollers are back home this weekend for a bout against Old Capitol City. Don't forget about the Friends of Trinity Medical Center Celebrity Style Show next Friday, too. While enjoying a career that spans the spectrum of musical styles, Fareed Haque brings his musical variety to the River Music Experience this weekend. With a combination of jazz and classical guitar, Haque is sure to please an audience of all ages. See one of the hardest working rock bands in the country tonight when Bobaflex hits the Redstone Room stage. Prepare yourself for a show of high energy and great music! Learn about the Figge's new Exhibition, A New Deal for Illinois, during tonight's Thursday at the Figge. Curator Greg Gilbert will speak on the collection of art displayed. While you're there, stop by the Interactive Exhibit: Colony before it closes tonight! Meet the artist behind the No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service Exhibit, Juan Angel Chavez on Saturday. Learn more about the messages behind his art and share some messages of your own. Head to the Freight House early on Saturday for the Farmers Market and then attend the QC Food Hub's Working with Herbs seminar while you're there. Bring the kid's along for the Children's Cupcake Decorating Activity for FREE, too! Also on Saturday, join the brewer's of Great River for the Oktoberfest Tapping. Authentic German food will even be available from Bier Stube! Keep in mind our neighbors to the east are also hosting a premier QC fine arts festival, Riverssance! As the primary fundraiser for MidCoast Fine Arts and our very own Bucktown Center for the Arts, the event needs your support!
