Join River Music Experience for the Dress Up and Dance Series debut on Saturday featuring a Totally Awesome 80's theme with DJ OMS' 80's tunes, a costume contest, prizes, and more. Or, participate in the Figge's Zumba Fitness class for FREE! If you'd rather watch and relax, check out Dancers in Company to see what the University of Iowa's Premiere Repertoire Dance Ensemble has to show. The Star Systems Talent Dance Competition is taking place at the Adler, as well.
With opening day just around the corner, Modern Woodmen Park is hosting a multitude of events to prepare for the upcoming season. The River Bandits are excited to host the first ever Bandits Race to Home 5K this Saturday! Plan to run around both the Centennial Bridge and the Arsenal Bridge during the race. The event is presented by Palmer Chiropractic Clinics.

The Big D*mn Blues Revolution Tour featuring Reverend Petyon's Bid D*mn Band, Moreland & Arbuckle, and Jimbo Mathus will take over River Music Experience tonight! Brush up on your German every Thursday in April at the German American Heritage Center during their German for Travelers Language Class! Understand the basics necessary for travelling abroad by learning about travel tips, food, hotel, touring basics, and typical signage the average American tourist encounters. River Music Experience is sure to please music-lovers this week with their wide assortment of performers. Grab tickets for This Must Be the Band if you're a fan of the Talking Heads! Friday, Robert Jon & the Wreck visit RME to perform a mix of rock, alternative, and blues tunes. Limbs with Radcon and Bulk will perform an all-ages show, too. Looking to quench your thirst with a little something different? Head to Great River Brewery Saturday for the Dirty Blonde Chocolate Ale Tapping. Get a taste of the first of their new Session Beer Series while enjoying food and good company! Keep in mind that the ice at River's Edge will be removed for maintenance
beginning April 8. You can always see the full schedule of events at the River's Edge website, too. Also, don't forget to try a hot breakfast at the newly opened Brewed Awakenings or lunch Wednesday through Saturday at Brady Street Pub next door. Big Dog Hot Dogs is back for the season on the Figge Plaza, too!
