 If you have yet to see the 2012 College Invitational at the Figge Art Museum, now's your last chance! This exhibition of the best work from local colleges and universities closes this Sunday. Learn pastel layering, blending, textural techniques in the Pastel Portraits Workshop Saturday, too. On Sunday, see the remarkable journey of Catholic nuns in the US when the Figge shows Band of Sisters. Ride a loop along the Mississippi and Duck Creek this Saturday starting at 9 a.m. during Chili Loop Rides! Start at the Freight House in Davenport and grab a hot drink at the Fresh Deli. After the ride, return to the Freight House and enjoy chili or corn chowder and other treats from Fresh Deli, local brews from Front Street Brewery, and shopping at the Market.
After sharing the stage with several influential blues artists such as Tommy Castro, Tab Benoit, and Shirley King, Samantha Fish makes her way back to the River Music Experience Saturday! Come hear this Blues prodigy's deceptively mature voice and intense guitar for a fresh, unique blues show. Network at Night kicks off tonight at RME, too.
