LECLAIRE, Iowa - At 7am on Saturday, June 28, 2014, the boulder that has been chosen to be the Scott County Freedom Rock will begin the final leg of its journey from a quarry in Rock Island, Illinois to LeClaire, Iowa. It will have a proper Patriot Guard escort to its permanent home and be set in place by a crane at approximately 8am.

If anyone would like to participate in the motorcycle escort, meet at Ducky's Lagoon, 13515 78th Ave. W., Taylor Ridge, Illinois on Saturday morning at 6:45am. The escort will depart Ducky's at 7am and arrive in LeClaire around 8am.

Much appreciation goes to the wonderful donations of the rock, time, and equipment to RiverStone Group, Inc., for donating the rock and transporting it from St. Louis, Mr. Ben Kellar Trucking for transporting the rock to the LeClaire Levee, Cattani Cranes for unloading and placing the rock, and Doug Harper of Superior Seawalls and Docks for technical consulting.
